Initial Consultation — Fixed Fee
Would you like to understand your legal position?
During an initial consultation, you will receive a clear and well-founded assessment of your situation — including possible strategies and recommended next steps.
The initial consultation is offered at a fixed fee of EUR 200 (excl. VAT and disbursements such as land register or company register extracts), regardless of the area of law.
If you decide to continue with a formal engagement, this fee will be credited towards further legal services.
Important: Please bring all relevant documents to the first appointment.
Hourly Billing
Every case is different. Some matters require more time, others less — which is why legal services are usually billed based on the actual time spent.
The hourly rate depends on the nature and complexity of the case as well as the associated liability risk. Upon request, you will receive a transparent cost estimate, and a fee cap can be agreed individually.
To ensure full transparency, you will be regularly informed — or upon request — about the time spent and the fees incurred to date.
Real Estate Transactions
For the drafting and execution of real estate purchase agreements, I offer a transparent flat fee, either as a fixed amount or as a percentage of the purchase price, depending on the type and scope of the property.
My services include:
Drafting of contracts and escrow services
Registration of mortgages in the land register
Regulatory approvals (Land Transfer for foreign buyers, agricultural/forestry land)
Calculation and remittance of real estate capital gains tax
Release of encumbrances for the seller (e.g., deletion of prohibitions of sale or pre-emption rights)
I offer comprehensive legal guidance — delivered with structure, efficiency, and foresight.
Court Proceedings — Statutory Fees
In court proceedings, fees are generally charged according to the Austrian Attorney’s Tariff Act (RATG) and/or the General Fee Criteria (AHK).
These statutory tariffs depend, among other factors, on the amount in dispute, the complexity of the case, and the type of proceedings.
Please be aware that, in addition to attorney’s fees, other costs may arise — such as court fees or, if the case is not successful, the opposing party’s legal costs
Because the total costs of a proceeding depend on factors such as the number of hearings and submissions, only an approximate estimate can usually be provided in advance.
I will, however, keep you regularly informed about the current cost status.
Disbursements such as court fees, interpreter fees, or expert costs are payable in advance.
Legal Expense Insurance
If you have legal expenses insurance, I will gladly handle the coverage request on your behalf — also for out-of-court matters.
I will liaise directly with your insurer to clarify which services are covered and whether the costs will be reimbursed.
